Could Baklava Be the One for You?

Baklava is a magnificent longhaired orange-and-white gentleman whose bunny-soft fur is matched only by his heart, which will surely melt yours.

This dear boy came to us after being left behind when his owner moved away, but with the devoted care of our loving volunteers, he has learned that he is meant to be cherished, and he’s come such a long way. Baklava adores his hammock, and during petting sessions he may gently grab hands or fingers, a silly and endearing habit that shows just how much he wants to hold onto affection. Now a more confident fellow, he relaxes comfortably in one of our beautiful community rooms with his kitty mates. He would do wonderfully in a home with other gentle pets, though he’d be just as happy being the center of your world.

And while we know Baklava would be a wonderful pet, we must call out that this young guy was diagnosed with a heart murmur and HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy), therefore, he is on a protocol of daily medications to manage his condition, and he does need regular visits with a veterinary cardiologist (this will be discussed with your Adoption Coordinator in detail). Despite this condition, if you are able to give him what he needs, you will be rewarded tenfold by his returned gratitude.

Our boy, Baklava, has layers upon layers of love to give, and he is sure to be a delightful treat for a lifetime!
