Otis

Otis arrived at STAF on Aug. 10th as an owner surrender. He was originally adopted from a shelter in Kentucky, but his owner can no longer care for him because of her own health issues. He was understandably a little nervous and frightened after arriving at the shelter, but he has since settled in well.

This guy is 1 1/2 years old and weighs about 30-35 pounds. We’re not quite sure of his breed, but some people are guessing that there may be some greyhound in there. Per his prior owner, he is house and crate trained, high energy, and friendly with new people. Our STAF volunteers describe him as a sweetheart who loves belly rubs, with one volunteer sharing the following observations: “I adore Otis. He’s so sweet. Loves to chase a ball but hasn’t yet figured out bringing it back.”

One of his greatest talents is jumping sky high, so he will definitely need a very tall fence. Otis is just a wonderful dog, and he is going to be a fantastic pet for some lucky family.
